24th ANNUAL EXHIBIT
Art x Architects is an opportunity for architects & associates to showcase their creative artistic talents, whether it was developed for a client or purely for pleasure.
The art work will be on display at the AIA Nebraska Annual Conference, October 26-27, The Cornhusker, a Marriott Hotel .
Suggested Mediums
Pencil, Pen & Ink, Water Color, Photography, Architectural Sketches, 3-Dimensional Models, Built Work, Models, Furniture, Sculpture, Renderings, Graphic Design, Accessories.
Fee: $20/ entry or $35/ entry non-member
Required: A CD containing (2) images of entry as a .jpg at 300 dpi with a final image size of 5 x 7 inches.
Eligibility
Entries may be submitted by all Registered Architects, Associates, Interns (members and non-members)
Awards
The art is judged as a whole exhibit. Gold, Silver and Honorable Mention awards may be presented at the AIA Nebraska Annual Conference on Thursday, October 27, 2011.

JURY
Steven DeLair received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1967. He then left Lincoln to live in various locations in the U.S. and abroad. He returned to Lincoln in 1996. Steven has made his living solely on the sale of his paintings since 1981.
He has been represented by 13 galleries in Arizona, California, Texas and Florida where he had over 15 one man shows and numerous two man shows. Steven was the ‘Featured Artist’ for the 2004 Pageant of the Masters, The Festival of the Arts in Laguna Beach, California.
In addition he has participated in many Juried Competitive shows throughout the U.S. including Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale and Douglas, Arizona, Ogunquit, Maine, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Southport, N. Carolina, Newport Beach, California, New York City, Philadelphia, Pa. and Lincoln, Nebraska. 6 ‘Best of Show’ awards with the Arizona Artists Guild and the Scottsdale Artists League.
With the exception of a one man show at the Elder Gallery, Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2002 Steven has not formally shown in Nebraska.
Steven’s artwork is included in many private collections throughout the U.S. and Canada, the U.K., Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. During the past 4 years he has concentrated on changing his approach to painting and expects to exhibit this new work in the near future.

Lori Hampton is Director & Vice President of Community Affairs at Hampton Enterprises here in Lincoln, NE. Growing up in the shadows of her father's business, Hampton Enterprises, building residential houses then venturing into commercial buildings, Lori had the creative mind & ventured into the fashion world moving to NYC after business college in Lincoln to study fashion design in NYC. She worked for the likes of Calvin Klein, DiMitri Couture & Evan Picone. Marrying she lived in Burlington, VT & had her own design consulting business & did product development for Lands End Montbell line, Ruds athletic wear, designing Miss American gowns and many smaller East coast companies. She then moved back to Lincoln with her then husband to raise kids & become more involve in Hampton Enterprises. In her spare time she designs her own jewelry line & still loves to dabble in fashion design and creative art ventures.
Locally Lori is involved in many activities with her children's schools & sports, her church & the Lincoln community including Cedar's Power of the Purse, NWU Delta Zeta campaign board and heads up the Hampton Family Foundation.
John Holtgrew is the owner and creative director of PowerBand Graphics, a design agency in Lincoln Nebraska.
Originally from a small town in Northeast Nebraska, John attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for two years as an art major, he then transferred to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and received his Bachelor's degree in Illustration. After working for six years as a designer and Art Director for a marketing company in Minnesota he moved back to Nebraska where he founded PowerBand Graphics. PowerBand Graphics helps small businesses in Nebraska and Minnesota create professional and creative brands that promote themselves in meaningful ways.
John enjoys motor sports and ran a marathon this year in Oklahoma City

Pick up of Entries:
All entries must be picked up between 2:30 -5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, at The Cornhusker, a Marriott Hotel, Ballroom C or alternative arrangements must be made directly with AIA Nebraska.
